Vehicle capacity and priority can now be defined for every vehicle type. When new job is created via Advanced form, job capacity could be defined as well. The algorithm will assign a job to a vehicle that can handle it. If two or more vehicles can handle the created job, the job will be assigned to the vehicle with the highest priority.
In this guide, you will learn:
- How to get to the Vehicle Capacity widget
- How to add capacity for different vehicle types
- Where you can preview defined vehicle types capacities
- How to Delete and Edit already defined vehicle type capacity
- How to create a new job with defined items total capacity
Note: In order for the algorithm to assign jobs using vehicle capacity correctly, maker sure following setup is done in your fleets settings:
- Routing Algorithm is set to On Demand
- Force accept jobs is checked

Adding Capacity per Vehicle Type
In the vehicle capacity widget below the table there is a button "Add New". With a click on this button new modal will open.
Following can be defined here:
- Vehicle type - Select vehicle type that you want to add capacity for. If the capacity for some vehicle type was already defined, you won't be able to select it from the dropdown.
- Width/Length/Height - Define maximum size of the item that can fit into this vehicle. Use meter as a measurement unit. You can enter one or all three values.
- Volume (m3) - This field will be calculated automatically if all 3 values previously listed were entered.
- Override volume - If you check the Override volume checkbox, you will be able to enter volume in cubic meter manually. This value will override calculated value.
- Weight (kg) - Define maximum weight that your vehicle can handle. Use kilogram as a unit.
- Priority - Select priority for this vehicle type. If two vehicles are both qualified by the algorithm to get one job, the job will be assigned to the vehicle with higher priority. Number 1 is the highest priority. The bigger number, the smaller priority.
- Save & Close - click this button to add new vehicle capacity. New capacity will be added to the main table.
- Cancel - click this button to discard changes.

- Volume (m3) - This field will be calculated automatically if all 3 values previously listed were entered.
