Share your precise location to give yourself more opportunities to receive delivery orders
GetSwift uses the geolocation services in the smartphone. Each type of phone behaves differently and we recommend that for optimum results, the GetSwift App remains open at all times while a driver is logged on for their shift. This will prevent GPS driver locations becoming stagnant.
When you are Logged Out of the app, it will not track your location.
Configuring Location Settings on your Phone
- To use the GetSwift Driver Application, you MUST turn on your devices GPS location settings:
- Note: If you do not turn on your location settings and have it set as shown below - the application will not work correctly
- ANDROID:
- Click on LOCATION SETTINGS within the GETSWIFT APP
- Ensure that the LOCATING METHOD setting is on HIGH ACCURACY
- Click into IMPROVE ACCURACY and check both options
- iOS:
- Click on LOCATION SETTINGS within the GETSWIFT APP
- Set to ALWAYS
- ANDROID:
- Note: If you do not turn on your location settings and have it set as shown below - the application will not work correctly
Battery Power Consideration
- Please also note, Geolocation services use additional smartphone battery resources. We encourage all drivers to start their shifts with a full battery charge to ensure battery life is strong. To get the maximum out of smartphone battery life, we also recommend:
- Do NOT activate power saving mode
- Turning screen brightness down
- Closing other apps not currently in use
- Having an in-car charger or bracket for mounting for directions
